摘要: Ultrasound is a commonly used therapeutic modality for which there little research on the effect of treatment dosage extent tissue heating. The purpose this study was to investigate two different ultrasound devices, angle application, and time temperature phantom. Four trials were performed at four application angles (90 degrees, 80 70 60 degrees) with both an Excel UltraMax Mettler Sonicator 720. A continuous 1-MHz frequency 2.0 W/cm2 administered 5 minutes, phantom recorded 1-minute intervals. analysis data revealed significant main effects between times. Interactions identified device times Analysis simple differences devices after 2, 3, 4, minutes degrees application. Maximal increase 5-minute 2.025 C. This level heating falls below expected values may not yield results. thermal noted be greatest 90 Despite appropriate calibration identical protocols, yielded significantly temperatures, notably lower than values. We concluded that direct monitoring output calculation should occur routine basis, as outcome will certainly affected by actual ultrasonic energy.
