摘要: Purpose Poor physiological reserve for withstanding major cancer surgery in older adults is an important concern the selection of patients oncologic gastrectomy. The present study aimed to analyze mortality patterns among who underwent gastrectomy according age groups. primary outcomes this were early- and middle-term results: 30-day 3-, 6-, 12-, 36-month rates. Materials methods A retrospective review 288 surgical resection gastric two centers was carried out. Patients stratified into four groups age: 29-50 years (group I, n=27), 51-65 II, n=117), 66-75 III, n=81), 76-92 IV, n=58). Statistical calculations focused on differences survival rates between I II as well IV. Results middle-aged II) had significantly better 3-year than either youngest I) or oldest IV). 6-month 16.9% group III 29.3% Two-thirds from IV died 2 6 months after uneventful postoperative course.
