摘要: Abstract BACKGROUND & AIMS: Hepatitis G virus (HGV) is transmissible by blood transfusion, but its role in chronic liver disease unknown. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence HGV infection patients infected with hepatitis C (HCV) undergoing transplantation and evaluate effects coinfection on course posttransplantation HCV infection. METHODS: One hundred twenty-four were studied. Serum samples tested for RNA; RNA quantitated branched DNA assay, genotype determined. RESULTS: pretransplantation 24% 28%, respectively. Pre-transplantation positively correlated (P CONCLUSIONS: Although frequent end- stage transplantation, there no association between presence severity post-transplantation, graft, or patient survival.
