Analysis of regulation of residential suburbanisation in hinterland of post-socialist 'one hundred thousands' city of České Budějovice

摘要: Residential suburbanisation is currently the most important urbanisation process transforming metropolitan areas in European post-socialist countries, especially Central Europe and at Baltic states. The paper compares statements of mayors suburban municipalities situated hinterland city Ceske Budějovice (a one-hundred-thousand South-West Czech Republic) also local building officials, spatial planning officials experts regarding recent, on-going upcoming construction houses suburbs regulation these constructions. Further, it discusses possibilities influencing through plans municipalities, settlement zones, areas. interviewed consider, rather uncritically, recent large their general as appropriate. One third mayors, however, do not want any further development this kind. Spatial have sufficiently powerful tools to influence extent designs individual suburbs. Some them, together with experts, support reintroduction area plan.
