摘要: What economic and policy conditions power relations govern the transformation of metropolitan periphery in post-socialist nations to what extent do these converge on those observed similar locations United States Western Europe? Drawing original empirical research conducted location, we consider case rapidly growing city Khimki at edge Moscow order expose post-Soviet variety political economy place periphery. We analyse both a broader institutional context urbanisation (ideology transition, Soviet legacy, urban planning, relationships between stakeholders) more specific aspects local growth placemaking Khimki.
