摘要: Abstract The December 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami wrought environmental damage beyond the normal framework of integrated coastal management and has implications for in Asia-Pacific post-tsunami phase. Fieldwork conducted on coasts four tsunami-affected countries 2005 2006 identified several “practitioner-type” issues that would have ICM policy. These include loss land with accompanying tenure problems; safety zone conflict buffer zone; need better integration livelihoods restoration rehabilitation ecosystems; inclusion mitigation larger climate change mitigation. A discussion these future role provide a fresh perspective to policy-practice ICM. proposal is made study various development pathways selected villages as they recovered
