Abstract Aim  To study the pattern (NPY) receptor (Y1R) localization in normal dental pulp and different stages The hypothesis was that Y1R varies pulpitis. Methodology  Pulp exposure injury made on first molar teeth Sprague–Dawley rats. Animals were killed 3, 7, 14, 21, 28 46 days after exposure. Jaws removed, decalcified processed for immunohistochemistry identification Y1R. Double labelling performed using antibodies laminin, CD43 CD4 with RT-PCR to verify gene trigeminal ganglion. Results  revealed presence NPY-Y1R pulp, ganglion gingiva. With immunohistochemistry, control rats, mainly located capillaries small vessels as well odontoblastic layer. No YIR noted immune cells pulp. In pulpitis, such CD43+ granulocytes CD4+ lymphocytes expressed As pulpitis progressed, there a significant decrease number blood expressing odontoblast layer when compared rat pulp. Conclusions  This gives evidence is modulator
