摘要: According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a serious public health issue affecting 1.7 million people annually in United States. Approximately 50,000 deaths were related TBI each year [1] at least 5.3 Americans are living with TBI-related disabilities [2]. The most common causes of include violent assaults, transportation-associated incidents, construction, sports-related events [3]. As little can be done reverse initial damage caused by trauma, preventing from happening stabilizing victim prevent further two key areas research. A better understanding causation mechanisms provide advancement both areas.
