摘要: A quantitative analysis of trabecular bone structure is presented, based on omnidirectional distributions paths across (a) trabeculation and (b) marrow cavities. The distributions, which take into account structural anisotropy, are generated from measured paths. Representative examples given, together with values two commonly quoted parameters, the ratio endosteal surface to volume percentage volume. Data biological age variations in third lumbar vertebra also presented an index anisotropy suggested. Finally, results compared those other workers estimates useful skeletal parameters given.
