摘要: Alkali metal heat pipes are being used in a variety of space nuclear power applications, including cooling reactors and rejection radiators. Candidate working fluids for these pipes, an order increasing operation temperature, potassium (700–950 K), sodium (800–1100 lithium (1100 K–1600 which frozen at startup conditions. The alkali from state poses number complex issues challenges, some reviewed discussed this paper. In addition, the selection fluid, wick wall materials, limits briefly reviewed, sonic limit change vapor flow regimes during state. successive processes occurring radiatively-cooled pipe also presented discussed.
