摘要: To quantify and compare 9-year all-cause mortality risk attributable to modifiable factors among older English Brazilian adults. We used data for participants aged 60 years from the Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) Bage Cohort (SIGa-Bage). The five assessed at baseline were smoking, hypertension, diabetes, obesity physical inactivity. Deaths identified through linkage registers. For each factor, estimated hazard ratios (HR) population fractions (PAF) adjusted by age, sex, all other socioeconomic position (wealth) using Cox proportional hazards modelling. also quantified factor wealth gradients in mortality, age sex. Among participants, 659 638 (SIGa-Bage) died during follow-up. Mortality rates higher SIGa-Bage. HRs PAFs showed more similarities than differences, with inactivity (PAF 16.5% ELSA; 16.7% SIGa-Bage) current smoking 4.9% both cohorts) having strongest association. A clear graded relationship existed between number subsequent mortality. Wealth apparent cohorts after full adjustment, especially men 60–74 in ELSA. different pattern was found women, These findings call attention challenge health systems prevent modify major related non-communicable diseases, smoking. Furthermore, inequalities persist
