Units for the evaluation of uterine contractility

摘要: Summary. An improved system of units is proposed for evaluating the contractile activity myometrium. Mean active pressure (in kPa) provides best overall measure contractility. This broadly compatible with studies quoting‘uterine integral’ in kPa s per 15 min, but may be applied to any period time. Units are suggested measuring amplitude, frequency and duration contractions. It shown that these independent variables, mean numerical product three components.
