摘要: In two experiments, we investigated the role of perceptual information in spurious recognition judgments. Participants viewed lists words various unusual fonts. The frequency with which each font was presented manipulated at study: Each 1 or 12 different Experiment and 20 2. Although participants were instructed a word test to judge only on basis word, regardless font, there significantly more false alarms for new seen previously than novel (not study) 1. 2, likely make alarm that had been used present during study study. data show mirror effect, tested low-frequency fonts produced hits fewer did high-frequency These results irrelevant plays judgments by providing sources familiarity and, thus, provide evidence is represented processed same way as semantic information.
