摘要: Abstract Trichome anatomy was examined by light and scanning electron microscopy in 25 genera of Engler's Saxifragaceae from the southern hemisphere. Four principal categories trichome were recognized: (1) multiseriate with a glandular head; (2) uniseriate (3) uniseriate, eglandular; (4) unicellular, eglandular. The shape eglandular hairs ranges erect to sickle-shaped T-shaped. main taxonomic conclusions are as follows: (a) Vahlia should be excluded tribe Saxifrageae possible relationship Montinia investigated; (b) Francoa Tetilla (tribe Francoeae) closely related, although its parent subfamily, Saxifragoideae, is unclear; (c) Eremosyne probably allied Escallonioideae; (d) subfamily Brexioideae heterogeneous anatomy, but relationships constituent remain problematic; (e) Escallonioideae similarities between within tribes do exist. Thus Cuttsia Abrophyllum form natural group Cuttsieae), which Carpodetus Argophylleae) may also related; similarity Argophyllum Corokia substantiated an extensive survey all species, data tentatively suggest hydrangeoid affinity for these two genera. Forgesia Forgesieae) shown possess same kind flowers Quintinia Escallonieae), Choristylis remarkably similar Escallonia , prompting suggestion that merged. support inclusion Anopterus Polyosma their own tribes, wider affinities unclear. Doubts about glabrous Tribeles expressed. Our material following additional Lepuropetalon, Tetracarpaea Brexia little comment could made them.
