摘要: Shock recovery experiments show three phases in shocked single-crystal quartz: melt-glass a thin network connecting quartz crystallites containing transformation lamellae of diaplectic glass. Both melting and solid-state amorphization occur, but separate regions the sample. These results are consistent with real-time measurements suggest that high-pressure phase is six-coordinated Stishovite probably not synthesized more than trace amounts along Hugoniot.
