摘要: Abstract Cellulose triacetate (CTA) is a workhorse polymeric membrane material for industrial CO2/CH4 separation. This study investigates the doping of CTA with ionic liquids (ILs) to reduce crystallinity and enhance its affinity CO2, thus increasing CO2 permeability CO2/light gas selectivity. films doped 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([emim][BF4]) dicyanamide ([emim][dca]) were prepared; effect IL loading on properties CTA, such as crystallinity, density, degradation temperature, glass transition transport properties, determined. The reduces temperature degree diffusivity permeability. also increases solubility selectivity CO2/N2 selectivity, due these ILs compared light gases CH4 N2. demonstrates promising route in manipulating morphology semi-crystalline polymers by ILs.
