摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to assess gastrointestinal function and quality life, including occupational, social, sexual function, in 75 patients who underwent pelvic pouch construction between November 1984 May 1988 at our institution. Complications occurred 45 percent after 17 ileostomy closure. One patient died from sepsis caused by an anastomotic leak most common complication a pouch-anal stricture (22 percent), the with greatest potential morbidity dehiscence (8 which highly predictive failure. Functional results were assessed questionnaire during 3-month period closure all 58 successfully attained intestinal continuity. A second assessment performed 15 ± 11 months 52 whose continuity had been restored for longer than 3 months. In overall assessment, 94 (73 entire group) rated as being superior permanent 92 (71 would go through another procedure. These support continued recommendation procedure acceptable alternative proctocolectomy ulcerative colitis or familial polyposis.
