摘要: Abstract This study investigated the effects of different zirconia surface conditioning methods on biaxial flexure strength, characteristics and fractographic analysis a Y-TZP ceramic. Disc-shaped specimens were manufactured according to ISO 6872-2008 for strength testing, then randomly assigned into seven groups ( n = 30). Control (CTRL): without treatment; Tribochemical silica coating (TBS): sandblasted with silica-coated aluminum oxide particles (CoJet-Sand) 10 s; Silica nanofilm (SNF): coated 5 nm SiO 2 nanofilm; four protocols low-fusing porcelain glaze (GLZ): etching 10% hydrofluoric acid gel (HF) 1 min (GLZ 1 ), 5 min 5 10 min 10 ) 15 min 15 ). Phase transformation, roughness, micro-morphological, flexural tests, analyses performed. X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed that TBS promoted highest m -phase content (20.35). However, GLZ groups, XRD was not sensitive enough obtain an accurate reading phase transformation. The group had roughness values. characteristic (1291.38 MPa), followed by SNF (999.26 MPa). These results suggest (TBS) (SNF) treatments did reduce mechanical properties, while (GLZ) led degradation in properties.
