摘要: SUMMARY Indomethacin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the treatment of acute gout and inflammation. However, its use limited due to side effects. Acemetacin prodrug indomethacin that exhibits better gastric tolerability in preclinical clinical trials. The aim this study was examine if systemic administration acemetacin involved sequential participation nitric oxide (NO) or K + channel pathways confer antinociceptive effect, as compared indomethacin. effect both drugs studied with formalin test. Equimolar doses were administered orally. intraplantar either L-NAME, glibenclamide, apamin charybdotoxin plus using test antihyperalgesic effects measured. not significantly different when pretreatment done. antiinflammatory also similar acemetacin. Our results suggest mediated by NO activation.
