摘要: Aim:  To examine the pathological changes of hepatic arteries in idiopathic portal hypertension (IPH) which is characterized by obliteration intrahepatic vein branches and presinusoidal hypertension. Methods results:  Liver specimens (biopsied or surgically resected) from 20 patients with IPH, alcoholic fibrosis/cirrhosis (AF/C) histologically normal livers were used. The vascular lumina arterial venous vessels tracts morphometrically evaluated an image analysis system. ratio luminal area to tract (portal index) IPH that AF/C significantly reduced compared liver. index for was lower than AF/C. higher liver; however, similar normal. peribiliary plexus increased but not IPH. In AF/C, number mast cells macrophages known be source angiogenic substances liver, while it increased. Conclusions:  a reduction lumen associated increase angiogenesis-related tracts. However, such compensatory evident this failure may feature
