摘要: Abstract The concept of sustainable manufacturing (SM) is becoming increasingly mature due to the focus on many its research topics for a long time. This has undoubtedly extended body knowledge, yet numerous definitions SM in prior art still indicate lack consensus true meaning concept. It thus be expected that these discrepancies will constrain further development and use industrial practice. goal this paper analyze different identify current understanding what researchers mean by We an inductive content analysis published from 1990 2016 variety academic journals. A total 189 articles including manifest definition 89 original were identified. Our revealed most commonly used one proposed U.S. Department Commerce 2008; 63% analyzed cite or slightly rephrase definition, while 86% identified are less than three articles. Although majority seems agree upon eleven sub-categories SM, wide range issues (67 sub-categories) associated with indicates inconsistency general findings study can serve as foundation common language both field
