摘要: Sarcopenia is a geriatric syndrome characterized by progressive and generalized loss of skeletal muscle mass function. Reported prevalence this syndrome, differs depending on the definition, population method used to identify sarcopenia. The causes sarcopenia are multifactorial, can include genetic influence, immobility or disuse, endocrine factors, inflammation nutritional deficiencies. These disorders involve an imbalance between anabolic catabolic pathways that rules mass. Many drugs taken regularly for common conditions may interact with some mechanisms alter balance protein synthesis degradation. This lead harmful beneficial effect strength. Widely prescribed could play important role during time onset development In paper, we reviewed current understanding how contribute positively negatively wasting. We decided focus review oral drugs, which usually in older adults, leaving aside other as hormone therapy.
