摘要: The main objective of the present investigation was to develop transdermal films ondansetron HCl (OS) with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) using Box-Behnken design and optimize them employing Derringer’s optimization tool. Design-Expert software used investigate effect independent variables such as concentration (%, w/w) glycerol 1,8-cineole, number Freeze-Thaw cycle (F-T cycle) on dependent viz. ultimate tensile strength (UTS) flux. F-T followed by solvent casting method employed films. Universal testing machine Franz diffusion cell were measure flux, respectively. Quadratic model found be best fit significantly influences (p < 0.0001), whereas 1,8-cineole (p < 0.0001) influenced optimized conditions 10% (w/w) glycerol, 4.999 cycle, 7.499% Under these conditions, predicted flux obtained 18.322 MPa 30.697 μg/cm2/h, respectively, desirability 0.791. Skin irritation potential study rat showed a score 0.44 ± 0.13 Draize scoring system. film stable for 3 months at room temperature accelerated (40 ± 2 °C 75 ± 5% RH). Above results imply that OS is safe drug delivery tool which could alternative oral dosage form.
