Retinoblastoma gene deletions in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

摘要: Approximately 10% of B-cell chronic lymphocyte leukemia (B-CLL) cases have structural chromosomal aberrations involving band 13q14. To evaluate a possible role RBl gene deletions in B-CLL we investigated the malignant cells 27 patients by molecular genetic and cytogenetic techniques. Four had that involved 13q14 (including one case with deletion was observed single metaphase cell), 11 other abnormalities, whereas 12 were either cytogenetically normal or failed to divided vitro. Eight (30%) found hemizygous gene. These included all four changes at 13q14, but also three without chromosome abnormalities aberration not 13q.
