摘要: The recurrent nova IM Nor was observed twice in X-rays with the Chandra ACIS-S, 1 and 6 months after optical outburst. It not detected first observation, an upper limit on X-ray luminosity 0.2-10 keV range LX < 4.8 × 1030(d kpc-1)2 ergs s-1 (where d is distance to nova). Five later, a hard source = 1032(d kpc)2 detected. spectrum appears be thermal, but we cannot rule out additional components due unresolved emission lines. A blackbody component likely contribute spectrum, it has bolometric Lbol 2.5 1033(d s-1; therefore, sufficiently luminous caused by central white dwarf that still burning hydrogen surface. An taken 5 postoutburst, indicates no intrinsic reddening of ejecta. Therefore, conclude shell had already become optically thin supersoft X-rays, nuclear turned off or process turning at this time. We discuss why implies novae, even rare ones long decays like Nor, indicating large envelope mass, are statistically significant as Type Ia supernova candidates.
