摘要: Currently used niche measures of overlap and breadth are shown to be inappropriate for analyzing field data. Previously proposed assume resources equally available, but this assumption is unwarranted in studies. Comparisons different either or also not valid. A measure derived by asking how likely it that a species' utilization could have been drawn from the available environment. An mea- sure similar manner represents likelihood one species identical another species. Tests comparing given.
