摘要: Ash1 is a known H3K36-specific histone demethylase that required for normal Hox gene expression and fertility in Drosophila mammals. However, little about the function of fungal ortholog phytopathogenic fungus Magnaporthe oryzae. Here we report MoKMT2H, an Ash1-like protein, conidium germination virulence rice. We obtained MoKMT2H null mutant (ΔMoKMT2H) using target replacement strategy. In ΔMoKMT2H mutants, global methyltransferase modifications (H3K4me3, H3K9me3, H3K27me3, H3K36me2/3) genome were unaffected. The mutants showed no defect vegetative hyphal growth, morphology, conidiation, or disease lesion formation on rice leaves. deletion delayed consequently had decreased virulence. Taken together, our results indicated plays important role during appressorium blast perhaps other pathogenic plant fungi.
