摘要: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect water extracts green tea, ginger, or a combination both on serum and hepatic total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-c), high (HDL-c), triglycerides (TG), phospholipids in induced-hyperlipidemic Wistar albino rats. A group 30 male rats divided into two groups. first fed basal diet as normal control (NC), while second hyperlipidemic for five weeks induce hyperlipidemia. latter then subdivided administered diet, supplemented with tea extract, ginger both. In groups whose diets were extracts, we found that body weight reduced compared positive (PC) animals. Likewise, significant reduction TC, LDL-c, TG, observed, accompanied by an increase HDL-c levels. liver, slight TC TG though phospholipid levels remained relatively similar. Importantly, observed no synergism between extracts. Together, our data suggest consumption could aid treatment obesity other diseases related cardiovascular disease (CVD).
