摘要: Summary The urea breath test is a non-invasive, simple and safe which provides excellent accuracy both for the initial diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection confirmation its eradication after treatment. Some studies have found no differences between performed under non-fasting conditions. The simplicity, good tolerance economy citric acid meal probably make systematic use advisable. protocol may be with relatively low doses (<100 mg) urea: 75 mg or even 50 mg seem to sufficient. With most widely used (with urea), obtained when samples are collected as early 10–15 min ingestion. A unique generally proposed cut-off level not possible because it has adapted different factors, such meal, dose type urea, pre-/post-treatment setting. Fortunately, positive negative results tend cluster outside range 2 5‰, change in value within this would expected little effect on clinical test.
