摘要: Abstract The cell interactions that specify the spatial pattern of vulval precursor (VPC) fates differ between nematodes Oscheius tipulae CEW1 and Caenorhabditis elegans. In former, centered is obtained by two successive inductions from gonadal anchor cell, whereas in latter, a single inductive step (EGF–Ras–MAP kinase pathway) can act as morphogen reinforced lateral signaling precursors (Notch pathway). We performed genetic screen for vulva mutants O. CEW1. Here we present specifically affect induction mechanisms. Phenotypic epistatic analyses these show both steps share common components, one which appears to be MEK kinase(s). Moreover, pathway (including kinase) influences competence cells more strikingly their division well, irrespective fate. Finally, comparison mutant phenotypes C. elegans highlights evolution mechanisms species.
