Effects of a co-financed interdisciplinary collaboration model in primary health care on service utilisation among patients with musculoskeletal disorders.

摘要: Background: In 1994 Sweden introduced a trial legislation allowing co-financing between authorities. The aimed to stimulate new ways of collaboration health and social care providers. One the specific objectives was make management patients with conditions requiring multidisciplinary more efficient reduce costs. This study aims assess if there were any differences in musculoskeletal disorders at centres applying compared centre conventional regards services utilisation, interventions received, Method: A comparative prospective conducted. Consecutive aged 16-64 attending (n = 107) without =3 1) model interviewed inclusion after 6 12 months. Number contacts professionals received registered. Results: Patients intervention had significantly contact physiotherapists physicians than controls. Contacts other such as insurance office, office or hospitals did not differ groups. Costs higher for centres. Conclusion: findings do suggest that reduced utilisation costs disorders.
