Alloying Behavior and Properties of Al-Based Composites Reinforced with Al 85 Fe 15 Metallic Glass Particles Fabricated by Mechanical Alloying and Hot Pressing Consolidation

摘要: In this study, Al85Fe15 metallic glass particles with high onset crystallization temperature (1209 K) were synthesized by a mechanical alloying method. High-quality 6061Al-based composites reinforced fabricated vacuum hot-pressing sintering technique. The flake-like shape are distributed uniformly in the Al matrix. bulk possess relative density, excellent hardness and strength. microhardness values of Al-based additions 20 vol.% 30 vol.% 204 MPa 248 MPa, respectively, which much higher than that 6061Al (61 MPa). compressive yield strength glass-reinforced composite is 478 MPa, enhanced 273% compared 6061Al. amorphous characteristic homogeneous dispersion account for properties composites. addition, corrosion behavior seawater solution has been investigated electrochemical polarization measurements. Compared to 6061Al, shows lower corrosion/passive current density larger passive region, indicating greatly resistance.
