Scylla and Charybdis: Dual Roles and Undetected Risks in Campus Mental Health Assessments

摘要: Recent high-profile events involving the mental health of students and subsequent impact on campus community have focused attention need for quality care informed risk assessment college campuses. When on-campus clinicians are asked to provide direct clinical perform objective evaluations at-risk at request university administrators, there is a potential multiple role conflict. Campus may find themselves involved in maintaining difficult balance between student interests. We describe some problems that arise balancing decisions two, with specific emphasis threats confidentiality consent, dual conflicts, limits expertise.
