摘要: Christopher et al., in their study of differences between general psychiatrists and forensic the evaluation psychiatric disability relative to Social Security Disability Insurance claims, have provided useful information regarding statistically significant practice beliefs. Despite relatively small number participants this unique survey study, authors identified important sources potential bias among both psychiatrists. The also highlights profound disconnect historically prevalent medical model disability, which treating clinicians are considered experts assessing actuality that most lack training evaluations. This misperception creates additional practical ethics-related problems for when patients file claims.
