Benzodiazepines (BZDs) are commonly used by chronic pain patients, despite limited evi- dence of any long-term benefits and concerns regarding adverse events drug interactions, par- ticularly in older patients. This article aims to: describe patterns BZDs use; the demographic, physical, mental health correlates BZD examine if negative outcomes associated with use after controlling for confounders.
