Magnetic Moment and Hyperfine Field in Colloidal Fine Particles of Iron

摘要: Magnetization and Mossbauer spectroscopy measurements are reported for fine particles of iron, 20 A in average diameter, dispersed oil by a surface-active agent. The magnetic moment per atom was obtained from the saturation magnetization. value at 4.2 K 2.28µ B , which is larger than that bulk iron. It confirmed free oxidation. hyperfine field H hf distributed range 300 kOe to 400 kOe. enhanced as compared with correspondingly increase moment.
