摘要: Dielectric relaxations in a few binary mixtures, which are nematic state, of p‐methoxybenzylidene–p′‐n‐butylaniline (MBBA) and other components were studied the frequency range 300Hz–4 MHz. One added was p‐ethoxybenzylidene–p′‐cyanoaniline (EBCA), nematogenic compound, formed eutectic mixture with MBBA. Others p‐n‐butylaniline chloroform, nonmesogenic compounds. The low observed all samples. relaxation time increased by adding EBCA to MBBA, while decreased chloroform activation enthalpy for viscosity isotropic phase had maximum near mixing ratio (cE). By examining above dielectric results Meier–Saupe theory, it concluded that both long range– short range–intermolecular interactions increase anomalously cE.
