摘要: Human eosinophilic leukocytes respond to a variety of stimuli by liberating an inhibitor histamine release. The active principle(s) in this eosinophil-derived (EDI) was found be mixture acidic lipids similar physicochemical behavior and biologic activity prostaglandins E 1 2 . Indomethacin, or prostaglandin synthesis, specifically blocked the immune release EDI. results indicate that stimulation human synthesis from these cells. These findings strongly support hypothesis eosinophil assumes modulatory role allergic inflammatory reaction. ways which, under specific antigenic (allergenic) stimulation, eosinophils could modulate events associated with response, through released prostaglandins, are discussed.
