摘要: Although the prostaglandins (PGs) were discovered in mammalian systems early 1930s (Kurzrok and Lieb, 1930; Goldblatt, 1933; von Euler, 1934) shown to trigger many biological responses, appreciation of their wide spectrum activities at cellular level began only recently. Evidence showing a quantitative relationship between action PGs E type (PGEs) increased intracellular levels cyclic AMP (cAMP) (Kuehl et al., 1970, 1972) explains ability these mimic actions extracellular hormones stimulators. cAMP has long been recognized be “second messenger” certain hormone actions. The isolation membrane receptor unique PGEs Humes, correlation affinity for this stimulate synthesis (Oien 1973) underline importance cell regulation. Data suggesting that F series act different site increases GMP (cGMP) are supported by discovery PGF2α ovine corpus luteum (Powell 1973). reports contractile veins is related cGMP (Dunham 1974; Kadowitz 1975) also consistent with concept, but interrelationship on whole, remains elucidated further.
