摘要: Hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerosis develop in rabbits on cholesterol-free, semisynthetic diets, but not commercial feed (1). Our studies have shown that dietary protein is important this response. Proteins from animal sources gave higher plasma cholesterol levels than proteins vegetable (2). The present experiments were designed to investigate reasons for difference.
