摘要: Cytokines serve a central function as key factors in the regulation of intestinal immune response and mediation tissue damage inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Abnormalities expression immunoregulatory cytokines such IL-2, IL-4, IL-10 interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) may indicate dysregulation immunity probably associated with pathogenic events. Therefore, cytokine mRNA concentrations were determined mucosa patients IBD at sites active (n = 13) inactive 12) ulcerative colitis (UC), 11) Crohn's (CD) control 14) using quantitative RT-PCR. significantly increased both UC (P < 0.001) CD 0.005) compared patients. IFN-gamma also 0.02) 0.05) patients, whereas IL-2 levels only CD. IL-4 was frequently below detection limit. Our results demonstrate that chronic inflammation is characterized by an increase Th1-like cytokines. Furthermore, suggests important regulatory component involved disease.
