摘要: The targeting of scarce mental health resources is currently organised around three broad areas: treating severe illness; reducing suicide; and obviating risk to the wider community. High priority clients are those who present with either psychotic symptoms, or perceived be high self others. This study examined records emergency assessments at a trust in south‐east England over three‐month period (n = 336) see whether these characteristics more likely than others offered hospital admission treatment. It was found that presenting psychosis much assessed as non‐psychotic, suicide also significantly admission, public large no admitted risk. investigation indicates service studied addressing first two target areas, but may under‐performing third.
