摘要: Hibernation and remote restore functions of a client logical partition (LPAR) that exists within data processing system having cluster-aware Virtual Input/Output (I/O) Servers (VIOSes) is performed via receipt commands virtual control panel (VCP) through an underlying hypervisor. The hibernation file stored in shared repository by source/original VIOS assigned to the client. hypervisor receives restart command assigns target/remote LPAR target VIOS. source I/O adapters are locked gathers adapter configuration information from configures be able perform functionality provided LPAR. then retrieves client's file, restored at with providing functionality.
