摘要: In general, when performing untargeted metabolic phenotyping (metabolomics/metabonomics) studies on biological samples for example urine or food, sample preparation should be kept to a minimum. However, there are circumstances desalting, preconcentration, the fractionation of into polar and nonpolar metabolites is value enabling subsequent analysis. Because its simplicity ease automation SPE well suited such applications prior analysis by ultra-performance LC-TOF-MS. present study, properties range phases have been investigated with respect that can extracted from urine. The include alkyl modified (C8 and, C18-OH C18) silica polymeric materials. results show C18 phase was fractionating suitable separate constituents via HILIC RPLC, respectively, while materials were best concentrating desalting samples.
