摘要: Association behavior of a gemini surfactant, N,N'-(ethane-1,2-diylbis(oxy))bis(2-oxoethane-2,1-diyl))bis(N,N-dimethylhexadecan-1-aminium) chloride, has been studied conductometrically at different temperatures (293.15 to 338.15 K) in aqueous and ethylene glycol (EG) solvents. The association studies were also performed salt solution (sodium NaCl or sodium salicylate, NaSal). Critical micelle concentration (cmc) decreases then increases with continuous increase temperature (an U-shaped behavior). ( T m ) corresponds lowest cmc found ≈ 325 K for both the solvents (water water + EG). However, mixed solvent shifted lower presence salt. shifting was dependent upon nature counter ion. – variation can be represented by power law relationship. Relevant thermodynamic parameters have evaluated discussed on basis / enthalpy entropy compensation plots exhibit linearity. c change (D H * mic computed various surfactant systems.
