摘要: Coastal lagoons are considered to be among the most productive ecosystems in world. Many of them support important fisheries, and some maintain intensive extensive aquacultural exploitations. Their particular features, such as shallowness, relative isolation protection from sea, presence boundaries with strong physical ecological gradients help explain this high productivity. Despite fact that coastal studied world, our knowledge on fisheries or why capable maintaining profitable seem inadequate for aquaculture remains limited. Scarce, too, is characteristics target species, their exploitation status, processes affected by influence them, including impact human activities climatic change. Here, we review present day lagoon analyse gaps science, stressing need adequate management these resources.
