摘要: Abstract: The visitors of four syntopically occurring species Marcgravia (M. nervosa, M. serrae, mexicana, and nepen-thoides) in the Atlantic lowland rain forest at La Selva Biological Station Costa Rica were observed. differed flowering phenology morphology inflorescences. Flowers all opened during night stamens dropped before dawn. All visited by small nectar-feeding bats (Phyllostomidae: Glossophaginae). Marcgrovia nepen-thoides, with much larger nectaries, additionally attracted two opossums, Caluromys derbianus Didelphis marsu-pious. Judging from large distance between nectaries flowers, glossophagine probably are inefficient pollinators this species, merely exploit a non-flying mammal pollination system.
