摘要: The importance of non-flying mammals as pollinators Banksia integrifolia and B. spinulosa was analysed by examining the effect pollinator exclusions on fruit-set. Visitation potential also measured observation indirect methods. Nonflying were frequent visitors to inflorescences both species. aluminium sleeves used exclude from trees associated with a reduction in number infructescences produced fruit per infructescence, indicating that important pollinators. Bird-nets over significantly reduced but had no significant produced. results exclusion experiments using single inconclusive due low fruitset. No conclusions could be drawn these spinulosa. However, for support whole-tree experiments. Analysis genotype frequencies seed provided hypothesis relatively limited mobility mammal would cause inbreeding.
