摘要: Aim This study evaluates the efficacy of two different treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD): psychopharmacological therapy, with a SSRI drug, and EMDR. Method Two indipendent groups have been administered treatments: sertraline to group therapy; one-week sessions EMDR other group. For evaluation symptoms PTSD has used Clinician-Administered Scale (CAPS). The inclusion subjects in absolutely random. Results results confirm previous studies available literature, pointing out improving symptomatology levels subjective sufference. But number which at end didn't satisfy any more criteria greater treated Conclusions confirms hypothesis as efficacious compared therapy. result could be stimolous further research investigate also long term efficacy.
