摘要: Abstract The normal functioning of p53 is thought to involve target proteins. We have previously identified a cellular 35 kd protein associated with and now report evidence identifying this as p34cdc2, product the cell cycle control cdc2 gene. The association between p34cdc2 was detected in SV3T3 T3T3 lines, both expressing wild-type phenotype, 3T3tx cells, 'mutant' phenotype. Binding mutant phenotype greatly reduced relative wild-type. Complexes p53-p34cdc2 may represent inactivation or activation either component. kinase functions at points necessary for entry passage through mitosis. It also operates G1 involved commitment cells into proliferative cycle. Since we were unable detect complexes mitotic propose that interaction be functional growth control, possibly promote suppress proliferation.
